Stancewars 2013

Stancewars 2013 was a highly anticipated event in Washington State which we’ve attended every year since its inception in 2011. Since meeting Mike Tolliver, the man behind Stancewars and other great events like the Old School Reunion and Waterwerks, artofstance has become a proud sponsor behind Stancewars. The show features some of the nicest stanced cars in the Pacific Northwest. My morning started early as I met up with a few friends as we got our convoy ready to take the 2+ hour drive down to Bellevue from Vancouver. As I was the earliest one to arrive, I took a short drive to a nearby Chevron to say good morning to our friends Static Captains and The Speed Syndicate as their group got ready to head down also.

I went back to the original meeting spot to wait for the others and eventually everyone started to roll in and gas up. After waiting awhile for a friend who chose the wrong border line to wait in, we headed south on the highway. Our drive wouldn’t be without hiccups, Darren’s BMW M3 had to pull off the side of the highway as he had tire problems. Needless to say, a quick drive to the nearest Discount Tire was needed. Luckily they had a tire that would fit his 19″ wheel. I could tell the show was going to be epic from seeing the cars in the staging area. As usual, I’ll let my photos do the talking.
